Today, Tuesday, Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, and Dr. Hazem Abdallah El-Gamal, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun and in charge of international cooperation at the university, received the delegation of the Korean Embassy, led by the Korean Cultural Counsellor, on the university campus in the new city of Aswan.
Prof. Ayman Othman, President of the University, made an inspection tour, accompanied by the Korean delegation, and the Dean of the College of Al-Alsun at the college headquarters to see the progress of the educational process in the Korean Language Department and to check on the students while providing all the necessary capabilities to upgrade the educational and research system in the Korean Language Department.

Prof. Ayman Othman stressed that this visit comes within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the university and the Korean embassy in many areas, including the provision of Korean teachers to teach students the Korean language, due to the richness of the Korean language, culture and literature among the students of the department, as well as student exchange between the two sides. The College of Al-Alsun represents a window on the world with its various departments and works to build a bridge of communication between the various universities of the world.
Dr. Hazem Abdallah El-Gamal indicated that this visit comes within the framework of the establishment of the Korean Cultural Day soon, in the presence of the Korean ambassador in Cairo. The delegation also visited the Korean Corner Library in the college, which provides its scientific and research services to speakers of the Korean language from the Aswan governorate in particular and the people of the southern Upper Egypt governorates.
The two parties also discussed activating the postgraduate studies and research programs of the Korean Language Department to facilitate master’s and doctoral students in Upper Egypt.
