\u00a0Based on the State\u2019s efforts to upgrade the health system and the ministry of higher education and scientific research\u2019s focus on the university hospitals, Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab made an inspection tour to the university hospital to follow up the ongoing construction works in the new emergency and reception hospital that occupies 1400 m\u00b2.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 Prof. Ghallab stressed on the developments occurring in the university hospital to raise the absorption capacity that reached to 415 beds in addition to 300 beds in the internal medicine hospital after finishing and using them soon in light of the state\u2019s care of the citizen\u2019s well-being especially during COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
\u00a0 He urged finishing the construction works as soon as possible to serve Aswan and Upper Egypt\u2019s patients. Prof. Ghallab was accompanied by the dean of the faculty of medicine and the chairman of board of directors of the university hospital Prof. Mohammed Zaki Al-Dahshori , the executive manager of Aswan university hospital Dr. Ashraf Meebed and the university\u2019s engineering advisor Dr. Mohammed Zakareya.
\u00a0 Dr. Ashraf Meeabed said that Prof. Ghallab inspected the pediatric department to ensure the medical service introduced to the patients. He added that the department includes 10 N.I.C.U, 5 beds and 3 Intensive Phototherapy units, he also inspected the new PCR device, the intensive care unit that is supplied with 18 beds and 10 ventilators which are allocated to receive COVID-19 cases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
