{"id":508,"date":"2020-03-21T16:56:51","date_gmt":"2020-03-21T16:56:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lang.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=508"},"modified":"2020-04-01T17:00:52","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T17:00:52","slug":"supreme-council-of-universities-session-no-698","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/lang.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/news\/supreme-council-of-universities-session-no-698\/","title":{"rendered":"Supreme Council of Universities\u2019 Session no.698"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The SCU\u2019s meeting no. 698 was held on 21<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0March 2019 where the study in the universities\u2019 future plans were discussed in the framework of the international status regarding the outbreak of the novel COVID 19. At the beginning of the session, the Council valued the Egyptian State resolutions to keep the Egyptians well-being safe and all the efforts exerted by Egypt\u2019s ministries and sectors in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>The Council urged the citizens to abide by the State\u2019s resolutions to contain coronavirus spread. It thanked the universities\u2019 academic staff and employees on their quick and distinct support to the e-learning system and valued the role of the physicians, nursing staff, technical and administrative staff of the Egyptian hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>The Council stressed on the priority of keeping the students\u2019, the academic staff\u2019s and the employees\u2019 health so all precautionary measures are done in this respect for achieving that. So, it decided to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Stress on the announced emergency plan to combat coronavirus in the universities\u2019 buildings and facilities including the ongoing sterilization and disinfecting.<\/li>\n<li>Stress on the Supreme Council of Hospitals\u2019 resolutions of its unusual session on 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0March 2020.<\/li>\n<li>Continue e-learning education during the suspension period. As for faculties that require practical exams, they will be carried out after school resumption or in the summer.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with the ministry of communication and information technology to provide free access to e-learning platforms.<\/li>\n<li>If the study suspension continues further than the previously announced date, the mid-term exams for the second semester will be canceled.<\/li>\n<li>Postpone second-semester exams, and it will not be held before the 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of May according to the schedules that will be announced by each university.<\/li>\n<li>As for postgraduate students, each university is free to decide the date of the exams taking into consideration that the suspension period isn\u2019t added to the required period to get the scientific degree.<\/li>\n<li>The council is in a permanent session to follow the updates and taking the required measures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The SCU\u2019s meeting no. 698 was held on 21st\u00a0March 2019 where the study in the universities\u2019 future plans were discussed in the framework of the international status regarding the outbreak of the novel COVID 19.
